The Evergreen Chemistry Club’s principle functions are to foster opportunities for involvement in community and professional activities by students of science at The Evergreen State College, as well as to support and promote science education, especially as it relates to green chemistry practices, both in the Evergreen and the broader South Sound community. Our goal is to become a forum for the underrepresented science community at The Evergreen State College. In order to help students develop professional connections, the club will take measures to maintain active membership as a Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society. Finally, the club will play an important role in the social facet of the student body, engendering a sense of community among science students at The Evergreen State College. |
